The Kangas is a choir for children in years 4, 5 and 6. Directed by Lynette Alcántara, the Kangas learn musicianship skills through fun songs, focusing on developing their sight-reading and aural skills using solfa. They build on the singing skills they learnt in the Roos, working with our Director of Music who is a leading Cambridge singing teacher. Musical skills are developed through games as well as song.

The Kangas perform by themselves as well as with our other choirs in KJV concerts, and a recent performance of Andrew Carter’s ‘Benedicite’ with Chesterton Choral Society in March 2025 saw them performing on their own.
