Welcome

About
Welcome to KJV Community Children’s Choir! We are a non-auditioned Saturday morning community choir for Cambridge children which rehearses at King’s College School Hall, conducted by Lynette Alcántara. Participation is free for 7-12 year olds in Roos and Kangas and teenagers in receipt of free school meals in our older choirs.

There are 4 choirs

  • The Roos free for 7 and 8 year olds, led by Rebecca Moulton
  • The Kangas free for 9-12 year olds, led by Lynette Alcántara
  • The Robins for 13-17 year old treble voices, led by Lynette Alcántara
Older members of the choir have the opportunity to continue until they are 17 (or for boys, until their voices change) in ‘The Robins’ our treble extension group. This group rehearses after the Kangas and there is a small termly fee of £42 and membership is by invitation or audition.
  • The Chameleons is a cambiata choir for boys with changing/recently changed voices, led by Owen Elsley . There is a small termly fee of £42 and membership is by invitation or audition.

We celebrated our fifteenth anniversary during 2023 and hope to see you at one of our concerts.

If your child is interested in joining please contact our administrator Maggie Heywood.
