Welcome

About
Welcome to KJV Community Children’s Choir (formerly King’s Junior Voices)! We are a free, non-auditioned Saturday morning choir for Cambridge children aged 7-13, which usually meets from 10.30am-12.00 in King’s College School Hall, conducted by Lynette Alcántara.

Older members of the choir have the opportunity to continue until they are 16 (or for boys, until their voices change) in ‘The Robins’ our treble extension group. This group rehearses after the Kangas and there is a small termly fee and membership is by invitation or audition.

We are delighted that KJV is back to normal following the COVID-19 pandemic, although we didn’t miss a week during that time singing together online is not a patch on singing together in the same room. During the pandemic, our weekly online rehearsals were a lifeline to some of our singers providing something to look forward to, we even made a few recordings blending together individual videos into one ensemble.

If your child is interested in joining please contact our administrator Maggie Heywood.
