Amy Bolster

Amy is a recent Cambridge music graduate, now working as a choir administrator across the city and performing as a freelance singer.

Amy first found her voice in Sheffield with the Sheffield Cathedral Sing! Project, which led her to become a chorister at the Cathedral for five years. During her gap year in 2021, she sang with the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus and held choral scholarships at St Peter’s, Dorchester, and St Mary’s, Swanage.

Alongside her undergraduate studies, she sang as an alto in the chapel choir at Selwyn College, and was a joint winner of the Williamson Prize for Music Performance in her final year.

She made her operatic debut in 2023, singing the lead mezzo-soprano role in a Girton College production of Menotti’s The Medium (Madame Flora). She has since performed as a soloist with ensembles across the area including Choir2000, Peterborough Choral Society, Cambridge Early Music Consort (CEMC) and The Clerks.

In her free time, you’ll often find Amy sketching, stitching, or crocheting something, and listening to Ella Fitzgerald.
